Welcome to Gen X Sabers

Hey there! I’m Tony Randazzo, and I’ve been a Star Wars fan pretty much my whole life. It all started when I saw A New Hope with my dad. That movie kicked off my obsession with everything Star Wars and sci-fi, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Gen X Sabers really got its start after my 14-year-old nephew got his first lightsaber. He’s just as crazy about Star Wars as I am and talked me into getting one for myself. Fast forward a year, and I had not just one, but three sabers! With my experience running a family business, I figured—why not turn this passion into something more? And so, Gen X Sabers was born. As of September 2024, we’re still in the early stages, but I’m working hard to make this your go-to spot for lightsabers.

Like many other businesses, we’re starting with drop shipping, which works, but I know it’s not always ideal. My own experience buying lightsabers from big companies was generally good, but like many of you, I dealt with long shipping times and slow customer service responses. Some companies seem to think that once they’ve made the sale, it’s all on the manufacturer. I don’t see it that way. That’s why I’m personally focused on delivering top-notch customer service right from the start. I’ll handle issues directly and work with manufacturers to get things sorted quickly. In time, my goal is to stock all the lightsabers here in the U.S. so I can ship them faster from my own warehouse.

Right now, it’s just me, with help from my wife and my nephew. I’m also getting ready to relaunch my podcast, Gen X Perspective, where I’ll be talking about everything from Growing up in the 80’s and 90’s to lightsabers and everything in between. I’d love for you to check it out and follow along as I dive into the lightsaber world as a newcomer.

My goal with Gen X Sabers is simple: to create the best U.S.-based lightsaber experience out there. I know there are other great companies already doing amazing work, and I just hope to bring something fresh to the mix. I’m always open to your feedback, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
